A quick look at our upcoming Shabbat and special services
Friday, November 29nd at 8:00 PM Shabbat Service and Blessing of Returning College Students Take a break from the Turkey and come for Shabbat Services. On this Shabbat, we will not only celebrate our day of rest but we will also take note of our college students who have returned for break. All of our post-High School students will be called up to receive a special blessing. On this Shabbat, we will read from the Torah portion Toldot. This Torah portion addresses family dynamics. What an appropriate portion for the Shabbat following Thanksgiving, no? Join us for Shabbat.
Friday, December 6th at 7:00 PM New Member and Family Shabbat Service Celebrate the Shabbat with our new members with guitar, stories and fun! At this special family service, we will welcome our new families and consecrate our new religious school students. We will utilize a creative Siddur to help all ages appreciate the beauty of Jewish prayer. The thrill of Shabbat is open to Congregants and non-Congregants alike, so come rejoice with us.
Friday, December 13th at 5:30 PM Welcoming Shabbat For Tots (Chanukah Edition) Come fill the sanctuary with our tots for “Welcoming Shabbat,” as we welcome and celebrate the Shabbat. This month we will celebrate the joy of Chanukah. Using movement, music, and ruach (spirit), Rabbi Robbie and Rebbetzin Ellen help bring in the Shabbat with that special "Shabbat Spirit” followed by a Shabbat dinner. The only cost of the dinner is a Shabbat Shalom smile. All are welcome
Friday, December 13th at 8:00 PM Shabbat Service Come fill the sanctuary with your blessed presence. On this Shabbat, we will read from the Torah portion Vayishlach. In this Torah portion, Jacob wrestles with a mysterious man and is changed for all eternity. Come discuss how Jacob's pivotal moment mirrors many of our own. Looking forward to seeing you there.
