Ways and Means

TEMPLE BETH AM MEMBERS GIVE BACK TO THE TEMPLE

Giving to the community goes hand in hand with giving to our Temple.

There are so many funds to which one can donate.   And do not for one moment think that your donations have to be “large” (since that is a very relative term).  Whether you give $5 or $500 or more, we thank you! Every penny counts and goes toward improving our Temple.

More indirect ways of giving are through our various gift certificate and supermarket programs. But perhaps the easiest one is through something we all do – shopping on Amazon.  Temple Beth Am is now part of the Amazon Smile group.  For those of you who have not heard of this before, by going onto the website through Smile.Amazon.com, you can choose Temple Beth Am (of Yorktown Heights) as your charity of choice.  We will receive a percentage of every purchase made.

Finally, we would like to point out that donations do not have to be monetary.  In December, we were blessed with a beautiful wooden menorah hand crafted by Barry Sanel.

Barry and Rabbi Weiner worked for months on the design and it is a true work of art now proudly displayed on our bimah.

We also wish to thank those who donate their time throughout the year painting, repairing, planting and beautifying our building and grounds. So again, thank you one and all for your donations.  Your generosity to Temple Beth Am never goes unnoticed! Toda Raba!!

However, great fundraisers like these can’t be organized without help, input and ideas from people just like YOU!  For additional information about our fundraising events and programs, and how easy it is to pitch in, please contact Stacy Shapiro.
