Adult B'nai Mitzvah Classes Bashamayim

03/18/2020 01:02:44 PM

Shalom Adult Bar and Bat Mitzvah Families,

I truly hope all of you are feeling ok and coming to terms with this “new normal.” While this is clearly a challenging time, the Jewish value of learning remains constant and can be a source of shalom for all of us.

So how will you special learners engage in Torah? This coming Thursday evening, we are still having class. We will study Bashamayim (in the Heavens) - remotely. We will be doing this for services AND for your learning. We will be using Zoom for services and classes. So what does that mean for you? Here are some step by step instructions:

  • Sign up for Zoom on any device (computer, Chromebook, phone, or tablet).

On computers (desktops, laptops, or Chromebooks)

Download and install “Zoom Client for Meetings.” Here is the link.

Then sign up.

On mobile devices (phones or tablets)

Download the “Zoom Cloud Meeting” app.

Then sign up.

  • Since you might choose to download Zoom on a computer AND on your devices, when we have our sessions, you should pick a device to use that has a camera on it – computer with webcam, laptop, Chromebook, or mobile device.
  • On Thursday, I will send you an email with a link. All you have to do is click on it from your device of choice. The device should open Zoom and take you to our class.

If you need any support or if you just want to try it, send me a text (see member’s directory). If I am available to offer tech support or send you a test, I will.

Step by step, we will come into the sunshine,

Rabbi Robbie

P.S. Get ready to use Zoom for Friday night services at 8 PM. (You don’t need a camera for that one.)
