AJC Westchester is thrilled to sponsor the 12th Annual Westchester Jewish Film Festival, the largest annual Jewish event in the region. Taking place at the Jacob Burns Film Center in Pleasantville, this year's record 35 films will reflect the true diversity and spirit of the global Jewish community (full Program Guide).

7:30p Sisterhood Scrapbooking:  Please bring 4-5 pictures on a particular topic and you will scrap a page to bring home.   You will learn how to coordinate colors for matting pictures, placement of pictures on a page for a pleasing effect and how to embellish.  Please RSVP to Linda Weisholz  so I know how much supplies to bring.  There will be a small nominal fee to cover the cost of supplies.

Calling old timers!   Marilyn Feinzig is looking for any programs, pictures, etc. from the Temple's 1970
production of South Pacific to share with her children.  Please contact the office if you can help.

The Somers Holocaust Commission invites you to its annual Yom Hashoah program to be held on April 11th, at 6:45 PM. The program will be take place at North Salem High School, 230 June Road, North Salem, NY, 914-669-5415.

On display will be many inspirational projects submitted by high school students. Our keynote speaker will be a neurologist, Dr. Carl Rosenkilde, who has examined and evaluated Holocaust survivors from the psychiatric point of view in conjunction with reparation from the German government..

The choir from the Jewish Family Congregation of South Salem will sing, plus various high school students will perform.

We are excited to announce that the URJ Kesher will be offering 25 trips departing throughout May, June, July, August and November...and registration has been extended for anyone who still wants to join a trip this summer!

If someone you know is eligible and not yet registered, please encourage them to apply now for Taglit-Birthright Israel with URJ Kesher at

The program is open to Jewish young adults, ages 18-26 and who have never been to Israel on a peer program. The URJ Kesher experience embraces the values of Reform Judaism.

On Thursday, April 25th, Kol Rinah will be concluding the Jacob Burns Film Center's Jewish Film Festival with a mini concert of Broadway melodies following the final, 7:30pm, film of the festival, Broadway Musicals: a Broadway Legacy.  Then, Kol Rinah’s Annual Spring Concert is at 3:00pm on Sunday, April 28th, Lag B’Omer, at the Solomon Schechter School of Westchester.  The performance of  lively songs, in English, Yiddish, and Hebrew, with  Jewish cultural themes, is a combination that has delighted our audiences.
