The Somers Holocaust Commission invites you to its annual Yom Hashoah program to be held on April 11th, at 6:45 PM. The program will be take place at North Salem High School, 230 June Road, North Salem, NY, 914-669-5415.

On display will be many inspirational projects submitted by high school students. Our keynote speaker will be a neurologist, Dr. Carl Rosenkilde, who has examined and evaluated Holocaust survivors from the psychiatric point of view in conjunction with reparation from the German government..

The choir from the Jewish Family Congregation of South Salem will sing, plus various high school students will perform.

We are excited to report that Taglit-Birthright Israel has secured additional funding for summer trips. We expect to accommodate almost everyone who is eligible for the gift and who is ready to travel!

The program is open to Jewish young adults, ages 18-26 and who have never been to Israel on a peer program. The URJ Kesher experience embraces the values of Reform Judaism.
