For more than 30 years, Temple Beth Am has been sending holiday packages to college-age children of Temple members. There is NO CHARGE for these gifts (it is our way of reaching out to our young congregants). Each Chanukah package contains a menorah, candles, dreidels, gelt, candies and gifts. In the past few years, we have sent sweatshirts and some small items as well. For Passover, we send matzah, jelly, traditional candies, macaroons, and a Haggadah. There is no charge for the children of Temple members for these packages, but there is a fee for those sent to relatives, friends, etc. In recent years, when we have had a large number of packages to make up, we have successfully reached out for help to a parent of one of the recipients.
