Race and Faith Thursday, October 17th at 7:00 PM At Grace Lutheran Church Talking about race relations is hard. Finding a safe place to talk about race is even harder. Though the obstacles can be great, discussing race is perhaps one of the most important discussions that we should be having as a modern American society.
Additionally, faith communities have a special bond and a special way of looking at the world. Because of the importance of race and because of our connection to one another as faith communities, the Interfaith Council of Yorktown, in connection with Race Amity, is putting together a special multi-evening series to help the faith communities of Westchester dialogue about this important topic. Each evening will explore a different aspect of race. Any friend of yours who is connected to a church, mosque, synagogue or other house of worship is invited to attend these sessions. Each night will be facilitated not only by clergy but also by professionals who have a deep understanding of race and its effects on our society. Come be a part of this extremely important and timely series. _____________
