October 29, 2008 - The Social Action Committee plans and sponsors a Domestic Violence Awareness Vigil
Temple members, community organizations and representatives of Yorktown government participated in this poignant and informative event, held at the Yorktown Town Hall. It was designed to raise awareness of the impact of domestic violence, “date rape” and stalking.
Alice Roker, Town Clerk of the Town of Yorktown presented a Town Proclamation to Temple Beth Am to acknowledge the event and the work done to benefit the community. The event was also covered in the North County News.
